Cotton is the fabric people buy most and waste most. A kurti needs 1.5 metres; the shop sells 5. Every piece on this page is a real end-of-roll length, measured to the centimetre, and priced for the quantity rather than the roll.
What we stock
Cotton prints — block prints, florals, geometrics. Soft, matte, everyday. The best value on the whole site: designer prints from ₹55 a piece.
Plain cotton — often dyeable. Colour it yourself, or let RIDH's Egmore studio dye it to your shade.
Handloom cotton — slightly textured, breathable, ideal for Chennai heat.
How much cotton do you need?
- Saree blouse — 0.8–1.0 m
- Short kurti — 1.5 m
- Knee-length kurti — 1.6–2.0 m
- Kids frock (2–4 yrs) — 1.0–1.5 m
- One 16-inch cushion cover — 0.5 m
- Tote bag — 1.0 m
Pre-wash before you cut
Cotton shrinks 3–5% on the first wash. On a 1.5-metre kurti length that is up to 7 cm — enough to ruin the fit. Wash, dry and press before cutting, or buy 10 cm extra. This is the single most common mistake we see.

Every piece is an end-of-roll cut from RIDH — The Fabric Studio, Montieth Road, Egmore, Chennai. Priced at 50% of RIDH's shelf rate for the same fabric. Not a sale — that is the model. One of each piece; once it sells, we cannot reorder it.
